Solar and Cellular Cameras for Remote Business Sites
A gravel pit outside Mountain Home or an equipment yard on a county road usually has no power at the gate and no internet. We install cameras that run on a solar panel and battery, send video over LTE, and record locally so you still have footage when the cell signal drops.
- Businesses only
- Installs across Idaho
- Cameras and network in one crew
- Documented at handoff
Quick answer
Can you install security cameras where there is no power or internet?
Yes. Solar cameras run on a panel and battery sized for the shortest Idaho winter days, send video over LTE, and record on site so footage survives a dropped cell signal. Event clips are uploaded and full video stays local. Signal is tested at the mounting spot before quoting. Typical sites are job sites, equipment yards, gates, pump stations and farm buildings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers for commercial buyers.
Do solar cameras work through an Idaho winter?
They do when the system is sized for it. We size panels and batteries for the shortest days of the year, angle panels steeper to shed snow, and choose low-power cameras. Sites with heavy shade or very long nights may need a larger battery or a second panel, which shows up on the quote. How much cellular data does a remote camera use?
It depends mostly on how much live video you watch. Event clips and snapshots use little data; hours of live viewing use a lot. We set recording to stay on site and upload only alerts, then size the data plan to your actual use. What if there is no cell signal at the site?
We test signal at the mounting spot before quoting. A high-gain antenna or a taller mount often fixes weak signal. Where there is truly no coverage, cameras can record locally and be reviewed on site, or linked by point-to-point wireless to a building that has internet. Can we move the cameras to the next job site?
Yes. Trailer and pole-mount kits are built to move. We can relocate them for you or show your crew how to move and re-aim them.Is someone watching the cameras for us?
By default the alerts go to you and your staff. If you want a professional monitoring center to respond to alerts, we can set the cameras up to work with the monitoring provider you choose.
